June 2014 Favorites

June Monthly Favorites

1. E.L.F. Precision Liquid Eyeliner- I am really into using a Jordana brown eyeliner as a base, then lining over that with this into a cat eye.

2. Pier1 Imports Giraffe Mug- I love this mug. It is my go-to mug when I'm not feeling well or just need to smile.

3. TIGI Bed Head Cocky Thickening Paste- I bought this in a huge sale at a salon last year and used it in Maryland. It holds through (100%) humidity and the dry heat here in New Mexico.

4. The Iron King by Julie Kagawa- This is the first book of "The Iron Fey" series. It's a fantasy about an almost 16 year old girl, who through a series of terrifying and mystical events, finds herself in the fairy realm.

5. Vicks Vapor Rub- My sciatic nerve, back and rib area has been causing me a lot of pain in the past month. THIS IS MY LIFESAVER! I rub this on my sore muscles and it immediately relieves some of the pain!

6. Bandeau Tops- It is HOT here in NM. Up until late October it can get into the 100s, so these are the most comfortable and cool top to wear under light tanks.

7. Earl Grey Tea- I am not a coffee girl I simply just don't do caffeine, like, EVER! I drink this (in my giraffe mug of course)with half & half and stevia.

Must-Haves for Growing Out Short Hair

1. Headbands- Headbands that are versatile and cute will get you through those awkward hair days.

2. Flat Iron- This can be used to straighten, curl, or add body to growing out hair.

3. Thickening Paste- Thickening Paste adds life, movement, and hold to flat or oddly shaped in-between hair.

4. Biotin Vitamin- A skin, hair and nail vitamin will help with growth and strength of hair.

5. Hairspray- Grown out hair can be unruly, but a flexible hold hairspray will keep the style (you can attempt to give to your hair) and shape.

Skin Care Routine

Face Routine

This is my "Holy Grail" face routine, I use it strictly at night in the shower because my skin is extremely sensitive and dry.

1.Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream- This lasts for months and months and is the only moisturizer I can use on my skin.

2.Wash Cloth- I use this in the shower, my skins is flakey and dry and this is just the amount of soft exfoliation I need.

3.Cetaphil Oil Control Foam Wash- My dermatologist recommended this to me, I should have been using this years before now! It cleans my makeup and excess dirt and oil off my face, but doesn't dry it out.

4.De La Cruz Sulfur Ointment 10%- This was a random buy at Wal-Mart, but now I can't go without it. It treats my acne without over drying.

5.Neutragena On-The-Spot Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Treatment-I'm allergic to Salicylic Acid, so I use this on spots, then put the sulfur ointment on top.

6.Bath Brush- I use this on my chest and back with about two pumps of the foam wash just to clean off dirt and oil.
